Sorry Amber. I do appreciate what you've done this year (well, except when you threw PreK and K teachers under the bus on the suspension issue) but I'm keeping an open mind about Brown.Schoolteacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07909309536906323252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811638297838636919.post-80996278850322961462012-07-06T10:50:44.242-04:002012-07-06T10:50:44.242-04:00"collegiality" ( I hate typing :( )"collegiality" ( I hate typing :( )Chalknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811638297838636919.post-42794918492571143462012-07-06T10:49:11.313-04:002012-07-06T10:49:11.313-04:00Dr.King didn't meet the state requirements for...Dr.King didn't meet the state requirements for School District Administrator either, and they changed them for him. The Regents are a group of nice people who don't want to rock any boats, but they do like the collgiality at the swell clubs where they meet for lunch.Chalknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811638297838636919.post-91216845821860687712012-07-06T10:42:35.330-04:002012-07-06T10:42:35.330-04:00Why would Dr. Brown sign a real contract when $800...Why would Dr. Brown sign a real contract when $800 plus expenses per diem just about equals her proposed salary...and she doesn't have any responsibilities. Maybe Carl is on to something when he pondered whether or not she is waiting for another offer from somewhere else.
His lawsuit might be the "shove" in another direction, and then we get Amber" back in the saddle again" ( humming...).Chalknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811638297838636919.post-11568137383994444642012-07-06T08:23:19.160-04:002012-07-06T08:23:19.160-04:00Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if any of the...Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing if any of these concerned parties really cared about what happens to kids in this story? You've got enough agendas going on here to staff a political convention for weeks. Once again, the politics will win and the kids will lose. I'm sure the city hall crowd spent a year trembling thinking about Amber getting the job full time since she already knows first hand where the dead weight is hiding. There was a lawsuit in Hamburg about the sunshine law and executive session. I'm not sure how it was resolved, but good luck to carl on this one.ADuffynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8811638297838636919.post-26542560230556945802012-07-06T07:49:50.800-04:002012-07-06T07:49:50.800-04:00A few thoughts about your thoughts: 1. He has been made happy by Polowitz's public school theft i.e. charters. Mr. Bennett has already jettisoned Amber in favor of charters. Without Ms. Dixon's intellect and guidance in Buffalo, the charter grab succeeds. Bob Bennett is happy.
2. I would bet all my bright post-it notes and highlighters that most teachers would give up the cosmetic rider if "gauranteed" that Amber would be given the Superintendent spot. Her demeanor, persona and ability to speak in complete sentences, that formed complete thoughts, was like honey to the ears after JAW.
3. Sam Radford is busy planning ways to use DFER bucks to sway the parents at East and Waterfront to drink Chameleon Kool-Aid.Pineapple Princessnoreply@blogger.com
